School will be in session on February 16th. On Thursday,

On Thursday, February 8th, we will have a meeting for parents who might be interested in child care of kids who are ages 0-3. This meeting will be at the elementary cafeteria.

Parents,
Good news…there is school tomorrow.
Bad news…there is a small chance we experience freezing rain in the morning. Local forecasters have that chance occurring around 8:00 a.m. Our district is close to the edge of this weather.
Please know that we are going to continue monitoring the situation. If any adjustments need to be made, we will inform you as early as possible. Ideally, that decision is made before buses hit the road. Our first bus leaves the garage at 6:30 a.m.
In the morning, please use caution around the school. Everything didn’t melt and there are some spots that still are covered. However, the roads are in good enough shape to have school. If you have a student who drives, please stress to them the importance of driving slow around the school. We look forward to seeing everyone tomorrow!

There will be no school on Friday, January 19th for Marked Tree. Road conditions seemed to actually get worse today. There are intersections around the town and the school that make travel hazardous. We hope you understand. There were several events that were postponed this week. We will compile a schedule and get that to you early next week.

Roads in our community are not where they need to be to ensure our kids can travel safely. While we wish we could have school, the safety of our kids is more important. There will be no school for Marked Tree on January 18th. We are sorry for any inconvenience this creates.

There will be no school for Marked Tree on Wednesday, Jan. 17th.

There will be no school for Marked Tree on Tuesday, January 16 due to inclement weather.

On Saturday, there will be an open house for the new homes being built on Railroad Street! This is an exciting time for our community as a commitment has been made to build new homes that are a variety of sizes! The new construction looks amazing and we hope you consider going to see the homes as they near completion! There will be hot dogs, hot chocolate, and Santa!
As we enter 2024, the school will be hosting workshops sponsored by our local banks on raising your credit score, ways to secure home loans, and other financial literacy areas.
We hope you consider coming to the Open House on Saturday!

One issue our community has experienced for years is quality housing. An effort is underway to begin solving this issue within our community. There are several new homes that have been built and more to come. There are several new homes available and there will be an open house for more that are nearing completion. On Saturday, there will be an open house for the new homes on Railroad Street. Santa will be there (and hot dogs and hot chocolate)!
As we enter 2024, local banks are going to have speakers come to the school and work with anyone interested in ways to raise your credit and secure loans for a new home.
We hope to see you on Saturday!
