Dear Parent/Guardian,
The summer is winding down and the beginning of school is quickly approaching! The faculty and administration of Marked Tree School District looks forward to having your student return on August 16th, 2021!
However, the purpose of this letter isn’t about the first day of school, but rather it is about Open House! Open House will be on August 12th and will be from 2:00-6:30 p.m. The purpose of increasing the time is to reduce the number of people in the building at the same time. With COVID numbers on the rise, we want to take preventative steps to keep our teachers, students, and community safe. To achieve this, we are asking the following:
- Only one family is allowed to be in the room with a teacher. Other families will be required to wait outside of the room. Please only allow parents/legal guardians to attend.
- We ask that each person be mindful about the length of time spent with a teacher. If there are people waiting, the teacher might need to schedule a follow-up conversation with you.
- We will encourage masks during this time. Our desire to begin the year with healthy teachers requires that we ask this of our families.
- Everyone should enter through the main entrance on each campus.
As we continue to navigate COVID and the fluctuation of cases, we appreciate your willingness to prioritize the safety of our students and staff. Please strongly consider attending early. We understand that this might not be possible, but it would be helpful.
