Welcome! My name is Samantha Drewett. I am a Special Education teacher at MTHS. I am also the Jr/ Sr. High Cheerleading coach. I am an alumni of Marked Tree High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Arkansas State University and I am currently working on my Master’s Degree in Special Education.

My student’s participate in Special Olympics every year. They compete in track and field, bowling, and basketball. Here are a couple of photos from basketball and bowling.

During the month of February, we studied about the history of Mardi Gras. My student’s created their own Mardi Gras masks.

During the month of October, we measured the circumference of pumpkins, roasted pumpkin seeds, used adjectives to describe the way the inside of a pumpkin feels, then carved them!

Students enjoyed carving pumpkins during Halloween.

We learned the parts of a plant and created models with play dough.
